NOAD has released EQM4 2.1 for SAP/Business Objects

NOAD has release a new version of NOAD EQM4 for BOXI 3.1. This release provides the following new enhancements:

Single Sign On

EQM4 now supports Single Sign On. This means that users no longer have to remember their EQM username/password combination. Once identified by Windows, the Network or Active Directory they can automatically log into EQM.

Active Directory

EQM4 now supports Single Sign On on top of Active Directory. A user group in EQM can now be associated with an Active Directory group. Or even simpler, if defined in EQM that AD will be used the AD groups will be created automatically in EQM. Support for AD is limited to the EQM clients.

BO XI 3.1

EQM4 now supports BO XI 3.1. This version is meant for customers starting fresh with EQM4 and BO XI 3.1. Existing customers will want to migrate their EQM content to this new BO release. However currently it is not possible to support BO XI R2 and BO XI 3.1 from a single EQM4 Server. Main reason is that BO XI R2 and BO XI 3.1 cannot run on a single machine.

Table Impact Analysis

EQM4 comes with a powerful Object Impact analysis. New to this is the ability to determine impact based on a database change. Just select a universe connection from EQM and a list of available tables and columns will be presented. After having selected one too many table.column combinations EQM will start off searching universe objects that use these table.column combinations. The selection will be expanded with reuse objects and finally all documents using one or more of the selected tables and columns will be presented to the user.
