According to plan NOAD has released his latest version of NOAD EQM4, release 3.1 on December 2nd. Customers with a maintenance contract can upgrade to this new release. Some of the most important enhancements are:

Custom Fields

Custom Fields is a very powerful new feature you can use to implement labeling, add information that's currently not available to existing or new items or even link the item to external systems.

For Custom fields an additional license is required.

Search

A new Search Engine has been implemented to enable you to search for specific strings through all properties of the item. 

Whether the term you are looking for is part of the name, check-out location, a user group, or a Custom Field EQM will find the term and high light the results 

Improved Performance

In some cases, functions like Import, Check-in/out, and Browse in CMS could have high execution times. Also launching the clients and (re)starting the EQM server could take a while. These issues demonstrated especially in larger, distributed deployments, resulting in latency between the various components in the deployment.

In EQM4 3.1 a review of these functions has taken place. Through a redesign, functions in EQM are executed more efficiently and the influence of network latency is heavily reduced.

This results in up to 90% reduction in the start time of the EQM Client and Server and up to 40% reduction in execution time of several functions.
