HBO

HBO (Home Box Office) uses EQM to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley HBO (Home Box Office), America's most successful cable television network, has a BI system that encompasses 1,000s of documents, approximately 200 universes and a dozen developers. In today's environment of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, it is crucial that the structure and management of the BusinessObjects deployment is closely managed.

Mike Ciance, the Enterprise Reporting Manager at HBO, says, "If we cannot show the auditors that we are in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley it could lead to a lengthier and more costly audit resulting in a lack of faith in the financial reports of the company. This could lead to other control measures having to be implemented or HBO management would not be able to sign off on the financial reports." HBO needed an error-free, auditable, easy-to-control business intelligence environment that would show the auditors compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
